For marketplaces and affiliate networks

ShelfKeepr helps book collectors find books they are actively looking for across online marketplaces.

Members create saved searches for specific books, editions, authors or collecting criteria. ShelfKeepr periodically checks supported marketplaces and notifies the member when matching listings are found.

When a member wants to view or buy a book, they are sent directly to the marketplace. ShelfKeepr does not sell, fulfil or process the transaction.

How ShelfKeepr works

A member tells us what they are looking for and the criteria that matter to them:

• Title or author
• Edition or publisher
• Maximum price
• Book condition
• Special or limited editions

ShelfKeepr then monitors supported marketplaces for matching listings.

Results are shown to the member inside ShelfKeepr and through optional email alerts. Selecting a result takes them straight to the original listing on the marketplace's own site. The purchase, payment, fulfilment, returns and customer relationship remain entirely with the marketplace and its seller.

How we work with marketplaces

ShelfKeepr is designed to generate relevant referral traffic from collectors who have already said they want to buy a particular book.

We do not:

• Resell marketplace listings.
• Allow purchases to take place through ShelfKeepr.
• Represent ourselves as the seller or the marketplace.
• Change listing prices or seller information.
• Rank listings by affiliate commission.
• Restrict access to a marketplace based on whether a member pays us.

Where affiliate links are available, outbound links carry the appropriate tracking information so the marketplace or network can attribute qualifying referrals to ShelfKeepr.

What members pay ShelfKeepr for

No marketplace, and no marketplace's data, is ever behind our paywall. Every provider we integrate is searched for every account, including free ones. There is no tier on which a source is switched off.

A subscription relates to the monitoring service we run, not to access to any marketplace. Paid plans may increase:

• How many saved searches a member can monitor.
• How often we check for new listings.
• Access to other ShelfKeepr features, such as AI-assisted matching.

What a subscription pays for is our own cost. Checking one book costs about four and a half eBay searches and one Etsy search, measured on 13 September 2026, and a paying member's rarest books are checked 48 times a day.

Listing information

ShelfKeepr shows enough of a listing for a member to judge whether it might be what they are after. Every listing links back to the original, where they see the complete and current information before buying. Nothing is cached beyond 20 minutes.

We do not operate a separate marketplace, and we do not create independent copies of sellers' listings for purchase through our service.

Affiliate relationships

ShelfKeepr may take part in affiliate programmes run by marketplaces directly or through affiliate networks. We currently work with:

• eBay
• Etsy

A commercial relationship never determines whether a listing is shown, or how closely it is judged to match a member's search. We have no relationship with individual sellers or shops.

Why collectors use ShelfKeepr

Collectible books are listed unpredictably and are often available only briefly. Rather than searching several marketplaces by hand, over and over, a collector tells ShelfKeepr what they want and hears from us when we find a likely match.

That means a referral from ShelfKeepr comes from someone who has already said they want that specific book.
