ShelfKeepr scans every marketplace we cover around the clock - more often for the rarer books - and emails you the moment a copy matches your price and condition. Every provider, on every tier.

How the hunt works

Search by title, author, or ISBN. Set your condition preference and a max price.
Every book gets its own schedule, set by how many copies are listed. Watcher checks a last copy every hour. Hunter checks it every 30 minutes - 48 times a day, per book, right through the night.
The moment we match your search, we email you a link direct to the listing.
Reading lists
Reading lists are put together by members and by us. Track one and every book you don't already own joins your hunt.

Why it finds more, for less
Your hunt · No limit · Any condition · Any copy
Same title and author, but not the ISBN you're tracking — likely another printing or publisher.
Your hunt · No limit · Any condition · Any copy
Every book gets its own schedule, set by how many copies are listed. Very rare books are checked every 30 minutes on Hunter tier. Common books are checked less often.
Overnight, at the weekend, on the morning you are too busy to look. Over a month that could be 1,440 searches for one book. Nobody sustains that by hand, and you don't have to.
When a different edition undercuts the one you asked for, we show you both - same title and author, different printing. Your call, not ours.
If another ShelfKeepr user buys a copy you were matched to, we tell you and start looking again immediately.
Every result says how it matched: exact ISBN, or title and author.
Listings aren't always right. We can't fix that, but you don't need to see the same one twice. Dismiss it and it's gone from your results for good.
Merch, bundles, audiobooks, wrong-language printings, the wrong volume of a series. Seven checks run on every listing before one is allowed to reach your inbox.
Mark it as bought and the copy moves to your shelf. One hunt down, and a slot back for the next.
Already own it?

Search the catalogue, add what's already on your shelf. You'll see what you've got, and what you haven't.
Group books by series or author. Nest collections inside collections. However your shelf works in your head, it can work that way here.

Collapse complete or idle collections. Sort A–Z, or by what you added last. Shelves keep growing, so keep yours manageable.
Missing from the catalogue?
Our catalogue is large but it is not everything - small presses, foreign printings and brand-new releases slip through. Type the ISBN and the book is in. No ISBN printed on it at all? Type what is on the cover instead. No request form, no queue, nobody at our end to wait for.
The 13 digits off the back cover or the copyright page. Special editions and small-press printings often carry none - say so and you fill in the cover details instead.
Found via ISBNdb. Confirm to add it to the catalogue.
Add to catalogueWe look it up and show you the cover, edition and publisher before anything is added, so a mistyped digit never becomes a wrong hunt.
Confirm and the book joins the catalogue there and then - ready to track, with its first search running immediately.
A book with an ISBN carries the identifier the marketplaces match on; one without is hunted by its title, author and edition. Either way, once it is in, it is in for everyone.
Pick your tier
Every marketplace we search is searched for everyone, free tier included. What you pay for is how many books you can chase, how often we go back for them, and how hard we filter.
Hunter checks every band twice as often.
Bring a friend
Every friend who subscribes to Hunter gives you a month back. Know someone 3 books short of a full set? Send them your link.

What Hunter actually buys
Every marketplace we search is searched on every tier, free included. Hunter buys the volume, the speed, and the filter that keeps the rubbish out of your inbox.
A whole want list rather than one title at a time. Every book carries its own price limit, condition and must-be filters.
A book down to its last copy is checked every 30 minutes, 48 times a day, right through the night. You would have to set an alarm.
99 excluded terms, five bundle patterns, a books-category check, a language check, a sequel-number check, an author check and a shipping check. Every listing clears all of it first.
Why not just check yourself?
Checking the marketplaces once a day feels like enough. It can be, until the copy you want turns up on a morning you're busy.
You stop watching the marketplace. We don't.
